Amber Gordon has litigated civil rights violations for people detained in county jails for conditions of confinement, jail segregation, deprivation of outdoor activity, deprivation of programs, and inadequate medical treatment in addition to police brutality, the use of pepper balls in enclosed tiers, and racial discrimination.

Amber also litigated civil rights violations for three young girls in Oregon who were victims of sextortion and Title IX abuses. Suit was successfully brought against the initial perpetrators of the sextortion scheme as well as the school district in which it was allowed to continue. That case set a record for civil settlements against school districts in Oregon.
